June 14, 2016

TEL AVIV, June 14, 2016 – Netafim, the global leader in smart irrigation solutions for a sustainable future, received the 2016 Innovative Marketing Campaign Award in the Industry category granted by the Israel Innovation in Marketing Forum at a ceremony in Rishon Letzion last week. The award was in recognition of the “50 Years of Shaping the Future” global campaign marking Netafim’s 50-year anniversary throughout 2015. In conducting the campaign, Netafim utilized a diverse range of innovative marketing tools and channels to assimilate its 50th-anniversary messages throughout the company, both in Israel and among its 28 subsidiaries abroad.

“Netafim’s project is unique, creative and inspirational to the marketing world,” said Ronen Ofer, Chairman of the Forum. “The campaign’s main messages were assimilated across Netafim through the use of advanced marketing tools and varied channels. The project, which achieved great marketing success and earned vast praise from the panel of judges, gave Netafim the opportunity to strengthen its leadership position.” Panel members included Avi Katz, President of the Hagshama Fund and Founder of Cofix; Nirit Ben-Kish, Marketing Division Director at Pelephone; Gilly Ron, CloudZone Chairman at Matrix; and Kobi Samboursky, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Glilot Capital Partners.

“We’re pleased and proud to have received this award,” said Netafim CEO Ran Maidan. “The prize is further testimony to the success of this unique marketing campaign and to the innovation and leadership values that have played an important part of Netafim’s success since its establishment. It’s also one of several awards that we’ve won during the past year. These include first place in the 2016 Technical Novelty Competition at FIMA in Spain, and in the Excellence in HR Competition held by the Israeli Society for Human Resource Management, Research and Development. The greatest prize for us, however, is a unified sense of pride, belonging and cooperation shared among our customers and employees in Israel and abroad.”

"Our 50th anniversary gave us an exceptional opportunity to tell the amazing story of a company founded on a kibbutz in Israel’s Negev desert that’s now the world’s leading irrigation company, helping millions of farmers grow more yields with less resources,” said Rachel Shaul, Head of Corporate Marketing & External Affairs, who spearheaded the project. “Together with our subsidiaries, we were able to tell Netafim’s groundbreaking story and to increase global awareness of our advanced smart irrigation solutions. I would like to thank the Israel Innovation in Marketing Forum for selecting us, and our many partners who helped us reach this great achievement.”
